Fealsúnacht na Scoile

Fáiltítear roimh chlanna de chultúir éagsúla agus déantar iad a chomhtháthú le páistí eile na scoile. Bíonn na múinteoirí tuisceanach agus foighneach leis na páistí seo agus de réir a chéile glactar go héasca leo i bpobal na scoile.Tá páirt lárnach ag tuismitheoirí Lios na nÓg i stiúradh agus i bhfeidhmiú na scoile cosúil le Gaelscoileanna eile. Tugann na tuismitheoirí tacaíocht don scoil agus do na haidhmeanna teangan agus cultúrtha atá aici. Roinneann na tuismitheoirí a aontaíonn le haidhmeanna na scoile meon dearfach lena bpáistí agus comhoibríonn siad leis an scoil ó thaobh na Gaeilge agus le saol na scoile go hiomlán. An phríomhaidhm atá ag an scoil nó sároideachas a chur ar fáil trí mheán na Gaeilge. Tá Lios na nÓg ann do pháistí a bhaineann taitneamh as an nGaeilge sa bhaile agus chun oideachas lánGhaeilge a chur ar fáil do pháistí eile. Cuirtear eolas faoin teanga sa chomhthéasc cultúrtha ar fáil, agus leanann an scoil Curaclam agus gnáthrialacha na Roinne Oideachais agus Eolaíochta agus struchtúr Fhoras Pátrúnachta na Scoileanna LánGhaeilge.

School Ethos

The specific aim of the school is the provision of excellent education through the medium of Irish.  Lios na nÓg exists to educate children who enjoy the use of Irish in their home environment, and to provide other children with an all-Irish environment where the Primary School Curriculum is taught. A knowledge of the language is provided within its cultural context and the school draws on the experience of the Department of Education & Science and of Foras Pátrúntacha na Scoileanna LánGhaeilge (the umbrella managerial structure for all-Irish schools).
Lios na nÓg operates with close parental involvement in the management and operation of the school as in other Gaelscoileanna. Parents co-operate to support the school with its linguistic and cultural aims, its financial aims and overall wellbeing in many other ways. Parents who share the aims of the school impart a positive attitude to their children regarding the Irish language and participation in the overall life of the school.
Children from different cultures are welcomed. They are integrated into the life of the school on a gradual basis. Teachers are considerate and patient with these children and they become a central part of the life of the school.
