Ní cóir milseáin, seacláid, criospaí, deochanna liomanáide (fizzy) a bheith mar lón scoile. Ní cheadaítear do dhaltaí a bheith ag roinnt lónta lena chéile (ar chúiseanna sláinte). Níl cead buidéil gloine, nó guma coganta a thabhairt ar scoil. Is cóir do na páistí aon bhruscar atá acu ón lón a thabhairt abhaile leo ina mbosca lóin, agus an seomra ranga a fhágáil go deas néata glan.

Healthy Lunch Options

  • Bread, scones, pitta bread etc.
  • Fillings such as, cheese eggs, fish, salad, lean meat.
  • Fruit and raw vegetables
  • Drinks (fruit juice, water, milk)
  • Yoghurt
  • Soup
  • Fillings

Fizzy drinks, crisps, chewing gum, biscuits or chocolate are not allowed.  For health and safety reasons children are not allowed to share food. Children are not allowed to bring glass bottles to school. Children are asked to bring home any uneaten lunch. Health education is part of the school curriculum, and in Lios na nÓg we encourage pupils to make good choices in relation to food.
