Obair Bhaile

Chun cabhrú leis an bpáiste le hobair na scoile tugtar obair bhaile dóibh go rialta. Ní thosaíonn an obair bhaile sa rang Naíonáin Shóisearacha go dtí an dara téarma. Tuigfidh an múinteoir ranga cathain is fearr tosnú leis an obair bhaile. Tugann an obair bhaile deis duit mar thuismitheoir a bheith páirteach in oideachas agus i ndul chun cinn do pháiste.  Ba chóir go bhféachadh an tuismitheoir /caomhnóir go mbíonn an obair bhaile nó iarracht chuí déanta ag na daltaí agus an dialann obair bhaile sínithe gach oíche.

Seo a leanas treoir ranga ar an mhéid ama a ba chóir do pháiste a chaitheamh ar an obair bhaile:

  • Naíonáín Bheaga                      10 - 15 nóim
  • Naíonáin Shóisearthacha        15 - 25 nóim
  • Rang a 1 & 2                               Gan dul thar 30 nóim
  • Rang a 3 & 4                               30 – 45 nóim
  • Rang a 5                                       45nóim – 1 uair
  • Rang a 6                                       1 uair go leith (ar a mhéid)

Tugtar obair bhaile ó Luan go Aoine. Ní thugtar aon obair bhaile ag deireadh seachtaine de ghnáth. Ó am go ham bheadh obair thionscnaimh ag Méan agus Ardranganna le déanamh ag deireadh seachtainí.

 

Homework

Children are assigned homework on a regular basis. The class teacher will understand when the most suitable time for your child to begin homework is.
Homework allows parents to keep in touch and be involved in their children’s work. Parents should supervise children’s homework, checking and signing it on completion.

The following is the allotted time that teachers expect the average child in each class to spend at homework:

  • Junior Infants                     10-15 min
  • Senior Infants                    15 – 25 min
  • Rang a 1 & 2                     No more than 30 min
  • Rang a 3 & 4                     30 – 45 min
  • Rang a 5                            45nm – 1 hour
  • Rang a 6                           1hour – 1hr. 30min (max)

Homework is given from Monday to Thursday. Normally there is no homework at weekends, however children in middle and senior classes may sometimes be required to work independently on projects at weekends.
